The course is in a shocking condition and is sorely neglected. The greens are in an atrocious condition and are very poorly maintained. The half-way house is non-existent and overall staff at the venue are uninterested. The R100 cart fee and R60 for an affiliated-visitor to play a weekday 18-hole round was a total rip-off.I would not recommend a visit to Nigel GC, certainly not in the winter months!!!

The course was not in great condition. Overall the fairways are not great, with only a few really good enough. I hope they get all the fairways up to the same standard. The greens are very hard and fast.

It's a good course, and the fees are surprisingly low. You can see it's an old club, the pro-shop looks quite rundown, but still well equiped. We played the first 9 holes "blind", as heavy fog was present...visibility was about 30 metres! (7am - 9am). The back nine was very enjoyable when the fog lifted. We were tempted to play the front nine again after finishing. Friendly staff, great value for money, and the course isn't bad at all.

Great course out in the east.Did not hire caddie so could not rate.Half-way needs a pick-me-up but the rest is good.Nice layout and quite forgiving especially in winter with the rough almost non existant.Good course to build a handicap. Will play there again (close to home you see)

BENONI LAKE GOLF CLUB
This woodland type course offers a good test of golf with no water hazards on the first nine. The second nine is played on the other side of the road, next to the lake. General and practice facilities are good.
