I play here regularly and think this is one of the most under rated courses in Joburg. Lots of improvements over the last 3 years and more to come. If you want a good test at a reasonable price give this course a try, it may just surprise you.

If you have not played here - do so! This is such a great course! The more you play it the more you want to come back. Each hole stands out with the 2nd nine really special. The 11th,12th and 13th are a real challenge. Great course with great friendly staff - I love it!

Pollak has never been better than now - okay the greens have just been done but in a week or two will be back to their normal very good nick! The fairways are magnificent, the bunkers are being raked deeper, and everyone is being very friendly. Well done guys!! A game of golf here is an absolute pleasure - even if you play badly! Very good value for money. Don't miss it! Very well done Darren and Raymond!!

One of the grand old mine courses with a classic parkland-layout This club is steeped in history and the feeling when you walk into the clubhouse just makes you feel welcome. The course can be enjoyed by high and low-handicappers alike, with wide fairways and short par-4's that tempt you to go for the green (the 10th springs to mind). The course is always superbly conditioned even with the huge amount of rain that wrecked havoc on most courses in the beginning of the year. This course is currently my favourite on the East Rand. There are courses that are probably better and more spectacular, but considering value for money and accessability, I find ERPM as a true gem !!

An interesting course, with superb greens. One of those courses where you can't haul out your driver at every par 4 or 5, course management plays an important part of your round. The halfway house staff need training, from blank stares to sullen service, they have it all. It's a pity, because this a gem of a course! Well worth playing.

A beautiful, well maintained and spectacular course. Excellent facilities, and a halfway house menu that must be up with the best in the country, but beware of the hamburgers....they are the Hummers of BurgerLand, huge and intimidating!!! A brilliant experience.

What a lovely course, well maintained, interesting and a fair test for golfers of all levels. Unfortunately the greens were hollow tined when we played, so it was impossible to give a fair rating, but even so, this is a course well worth playing. It was very noticeable that the bunkers, fairways, fringes etc were kept in tip top shape, well done to the staff. Good halfway house facilities, varied menu, now if the Proshop staff can just loosen up a little bit.... Go and play Pollak Park, it puts many "bigname" courses to shame in Joburg and surrounds.

This is my second review regarding this course. It has improved since I last played there 2 years ago but the speed of play was terrible - 6 hours to complete 18 holes. I still maintain that this is one of the best courses in the east rand, but for them to maintain that they will need to get course marshals out there. Other than that the course and facilities where outstanding to say the least. Difficult tee shots, and the greens were brilliant! Extremely enjoyable day except for the slow play!
